Steps to Owning a Park Model
Step 1: Select your site at Chemainus Garden RV Resort – 3042 River Road, Chemainus BC.
Step 2: Design your Park Model RV Cottage
Step 3: Secure your financing.
Step 4: Place order and sign Purchase Agreement with Chemainus Garden
Step 5: Work With Chemainus Garden to Design Your Site Layout
Step 6: Chemainus Garden completes installation for you.
Step 1: Select your site at Chemainus Garden RV Resort – 3042 River Road, Chemainus BC.
Your New Park Model is already approved for a site location at Chemainus Garden. Working with Chemainus Garden, we determine how your site can best accommodate both the Park Model, and its delivery to the Resort.
Step 2: Design your Park Model RV
The next step is to design your Park Model
Start by selecting one of the many floor plans available on the Chemainus Garden RV Resort website (www.chemainusgarden.com), visit our show homes at the Resort located at 3042 River Road, Chemainus, BC, or visit VI Modular Homes at 9534 Trans Canada Highway, Chemainus BC to see other available park models and plans.
Chemainus Garden RV Resort representatives can assist you with further customizing the floor plan layout.
Customize your house by choosing interior and exterior finishes.
Many upgrades are available (including appliances) and it is advisable to review all options.
Step 3: Secure financing.
Typically Park Models are treated like “RV’s and traditional RV financing will be available from your financial institution. We have financing programs available through Island Savings Credit Union, Coastal Community Savings and Bank of Montreal. Amortization terms of up to 20 years with 100% financing are available for new Park Models, subject to OAC. Please check with your bank, credit union or your broker. If you need assistance, we work with a finance broker in securing financing for you.
Step 4: Place order and sign Purchase Agreement with Chemainus Garden.
Now that you’ve designed your house and secured financing, it’s time to place your order and secure your new cottage site at Chemainus Garden RV Resport . An authorized Chemainus Garden representative will provide you with a purchase agreement (contract). This agreement is required to begin production on your new Park Model home. A deposit is required upon signing the agreement.
Step 5: Work With Chemainus Garden to Design Your Site Layout
Each Park Model is built to Canadian Standards Act (CSA) Z-241 standards, and is designated as Recreational Vehicle,. In addition Chemainus Garden RV Resort will supply to you our standard deck, fire pit, 8x8 storage shed, landscaping and site site up. The improvement and placement of your Park Model do not require a building permit to be placed on your site
Chemainus Garden has developed a “typical site plot plan ” plan for sites at the RV Park. These plans are developed based on minimum park standards You and Chemainus Garden will agree on the final placement of your Park Model on the site. You may wish to upgrade certain aspect of the site improvements. Any additional structures you may desire must be preapproved by Chemainus Garden and meet the local building department requirements, including, permits, additional drawings and engineering for permits beyond what Chemainus Garden typically provides on your site. The conditions are complicated, some additional work and costs may be required. A Chemainus Garden representative is available to assist you with each of these steps.
Agreed site improvements to your site will be at your cost, and must be paid for prior to the work commencing.
Step 6: Chemainus Garden completes installation for you.
While your Park Model is under construction at the factory, Chemainus Garden RV Resport will prepare your site. Site preparation usually includes:
- Site Preparation to compact and prepare the ground for your Park Model
- Arranging transportation to place the Park Model
- Delivery and install your Park Model
- Underground Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical services are hooked up to your Park Model.
- Storage Shed set up and assembly
- Deck construction and assembly
- Landscaping & Touch Up Painting .
It generally takes one day to place the Park Model on your site. It will take another 3 days to complete site improvements and prepare your site for your use.
